Burrowing Owl Meritage 2017

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2017 opens with a youthful mix of warm southern black fruits streaked with sweet balsamic notes. The blend is 59/20/18/3 cabernet sauvignon, merlot, cabernet franc, and petit verdot aged in French and Hungarian oak for 18 months. The midpalate is a cedar, mocha, chocolate affair that finishes with some grippy tannins. It will need some bottle time for another three years to settle in and meld together. Best served today with rich beef and lamb cuts, roasted or stewed.Tasted: 17 October 2020Tasted by: Prices:
