Burrowing Owl Meritage 2012

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPerfumed violets, ripe black cherry, black plum, brambles and young leather carry this structured Meritage blend of cabernet franc, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot. The wine has spent time in French, American, Hungarian and Russian oak - generating quite the spice basket of toasted flavours. Youthful, wood hewn tannins prop up the ripe fruit, and while not fully integrated at present, a couple more years resting should help. Steak spices and grilled meats close out the finish, as does some heat.Tasted: 28 December 2015Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
