Burrowing Owl Meritage 2016
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2017 opens with a mix of black fruits and a slight lift of balsamic notes wrapped in a milk chocolate, spicy finish. The palate follows with black cherry, blackcurrant, and tobacco dusted in sage. The style is warm and luxurious, the tannins dense but ripe, and should dissipate over the next three years, leaving the fruit to shine. A big red best served with robust meat dishes to temper all the power.Tasted: 30 May 2020Tasted by: Prices:BC | $50.00 | 750ml | winery online/direct, restaurants |
