Fort Berens Meritage 2012
British Columbia, CanadaFirst tasted back in 2014, it remains very fresh six years down the road with plenty of smoky, earthy, spicy red fruit and excellent acidity. The tannins have mostly dissipated, but there is some sticky dryness in the back end, and savoury herbal notes that suggest the fruit is fading as it ages. I recommend you consider drinking up this wine within the next year. Roast beef would be a perfect match at this point.Tasted: 03 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:BC | $29.00 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA and private wine shops |
