Tantalus Rosé 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPouring a glowing orange/peach hue, this comes from 60% pinot noir/ and 40% pinot meunier, the latter from estate plantings dating back to 1985. Partial whole bunch pressed (the pinot noir) and partially macerated on skins (the meunier), the whole was combined and co-fermented before a short stint on lees and a February 2020 bottling. Wild raspberry, rhubarb, morello cherry floods the juicy palate, cut with tart red currant, and finishing off with a stony raspy spice. Bright, dry, fruity, and forward, with a striking swell of acidity throughout, this is a lovely structural rosé for ample pairings this summer.Tasted: 23 April 2020Tasted by: Prices:
