Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis year's Tantalus Rosé blends equal parts of young vine pinot noir and pinot meunier, with quantity down due to the severe late 2021 frosts blitzing out pockets of their estate pinot noir. This was whole bunch pressed and fermented in stainless, where it remained on lees for 3 months. Pouring a pale peach hue, this concentrated yet graceful rosé is packed with golden apple, wild strawberry, mandarin, laced with buzzy pink grapefruit, lingering long on the finish. A beaut. Only 210 cases were made, so seek out while you can.Tasted: 19 June 2023Tasted by: Prices:
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Tantalus style is tight, refreshing, and juicy, and in 2022 the home based rosé, a 50/50 mix of pinot noir and pinot meunier, brings more of the same to your glass. The colour is pale, barely there pink, with enticing notes of strawberries and watermelon that preview juicy red apple, lemon, and pink grapefruit. Dry, complex, and replete with a mineral undercurrent, this is worth drinking on any occasion all summer. Rosé for wine drinkers.Tasted: 05 May 2023Tasted by: Prices:
