Tantalus Rosé 2016

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis 60/40 rosé mixes pinot noir and pinot meunier, topping out just under 14 percent alcohol. The peach/orange hue introduces fresh strawberries streaked with cinnamon and cream. A silken, glycerol-gilt palate carries wild strawberries, rhubarb jam, ripe watermelon with a twist of dried herbs and pink grapefruit in the pithy back. More Tavel than Provence, and charmingly so. Like last year, we'd love to see this in a drier, tighter, nervier form in the future.Tasted: 23 May 2017Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Treve RingPrices:
