Burrowing Owl Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSurprisingly rich and concentrated for 2011 perhaps exemplifying the heat you can collect in the south Okanagan most summers. The style is jammy with some mid-palate acidity to keep it all honest. The mid-palate shows more green notes and dried herbs but I'm sure this will have throngs of followers who love the peppery jammy black currant fruit in the finish. This will improve in the bottle over the next two years. For now it must be served with grilled beef to best effect.Tasted: 30 December 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
