Burrowing Owl Cabernet Sauvignon 2001

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe nose is resiny with smoky, roasted tomato, pepper/jalapeno nose with some tobacco, barnyard notes. Meaty, dry and chunky on the palate with elegant but dry tannins. Very earthy, resiny, smoked jalapeno, leafy flavours with a warm, dry finish. There's elevated acidity and noticeable oak in what is a somewhat herbaceous package. Not a great year.Tasted: 20 November 2003Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
