Burrowing Owl Chardonnay 2023

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAt Burrowing Owl, the chardonnay continues to favour generosity over austerity. However, I would say 2023 has stepped back from tropical notes and is embracing a bit more cool climate freshness, all at a sensible 13.5% alcohol. The oak remains present but well integrated, supporting the palate without overpowering it. The palate is creamy and fresh, with a gentle savoury, leesy, almond note and subtle minerality. This will appeal broadly and pairs well with classic foods like chicken, crab, lobster, and when needed, popcorn on the patio after a tough day.Tasted: 24 January 2026Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
