Burrowing Owl Chardonnay 2008
Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaVery ripe, honeyed nose with nutty lees, vanilla, citrus, baked apple, ripe pear and lanolin aromas with a touch of garlic. Round, soft, slightly oily palate with a bit of sweetness. Very smoky, nutty, vanilla, saline, spicy, baked apple skin and grapefruit flavours. A bit lean and warm on the finish but an otherwise solid effort. Try this with grilled halibut.Tasted: 06 June 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $25.00 | 750ml | winery direct, VQA and private wine shops |
