Osoyoos Larose NV
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOsoyoos Larose is owned and produced by Groupe Taillan in Bordeaux, with on-site BC General Manager and Winemaker Michael Kullmann, both of whom aim to restore the wine to its early days and Bordeaux roots. The 2022 vintage is expected to be available in the Spring of 2026, and you can anticipate a style change with new packaging, a new Diam cork to prevent cork taint, and a wax-dipped cork to better control oxygen ingress as the wine ages in the bottle. It remains primarily 65% merlot, with cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, petit verdot, and malbec, with a smooth, almost silky texture that draws you in with streaks of savoury, desert scrub notes, dark plums, and fresh red fruit. A strong backbone and ample acidity support its aging potential. In fact, Osoyoos Larose has a reputation as one of the best wines to cellar in Canada, capable of aging easily for a decade, and the '22 will be the latest example.Tasted: 23 October 2025Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:| BC | $57.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
