Osoyoos Larose 2009
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRecently rereleased 2009 will be a revelation to some. It was always restrained, but when younger, unresolved tannins showed a bit sticky back then. Those have dissipated today, and while it is beginning to dry out, it still has plenty of flavours and south Okanagan power with a dash of French sophistication. The nose is a mix of black cherry, mint, and cassis, with a savoury tobacco undertow and the dryness mentioned above in the finish. All in all, it's in great shape but should be drunk sooner than later. Again, roasted meats are the ticket here. Well done, and certainly a historical benchmark, given how much more refined the latest releases are.Tasted: 09 February 2023Tasted by: Prices:BC | $40.00 | 750ml | private wine shops |
