Burrowing Owl Merlot 2019

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada2019 mixes Oliver and Osoyoos fruit post ferment, with both free run and press wine run into barrels for the malolactic fermentation and 16 months of ageing before the blend is put together and bottled unfiltered and cellared at the winery until its release. The attack is fresh with ripe red undertones and plenty of savoury spice. The tannins are dense and dry at this point but should disappear quickly over the next two years. Beef tacos or grilled sausages would be a good match. Solid.Tasted: 02 February 2022Tasted by: Prices:
