Burrowing Owl Merlot 2011

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2011 is an 87/10/2 mix of merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc. Slightly pruney nose with cedar, pepper, black cherry, vanilla, saddle leather nose. The attack is dry with juicy, black cherry, cedar, tobacco and liquorice flavours with a strong savoury under current. This will need some extra bottle time to mature and soften up but a pretty good effort in another challenging year. Serve now with roast beef.Tasted: 26 December 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
