Burrowing Owl Merlot 1998

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe '98 merlot was fermented in 10-ton stainless steel tanks and aged in a mix of new and old American and French wood for 11 to 12 months. Look for a ripe, vanilla, plum jam nose with delicious ripe cherry jam and chocolate flavours on the palate. Impressive and very much in the Washington State mold. (2800 cases).Tasted: 01 September 1999Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
