Penfolds Shiraz Bin 128 2021

Coonawarra, South Australia, AustraliaWhether cabernet sauvignon or shiraz, Coonawarra produces wines of place over grape. And that's the case here with Bin 128, which puts Coonawarra front and centre in the glass, with eucalyptus and mint alongside a dusty minerality. There's still a violet perfume alongside bright, sappy, brambly fruit and a touch of graphite, with a depth that reveals itself with time in the glass. I love the concentration and firmly structured style, with the best to come. Decant now or enjoy over the next 5-7 years. Recommended.Tasted: 22 August 2024Tasted by: Prices:
