Penfolds Shiraz Bin 128 1997
Coonawarra, South Australia, AustraliaBin 128 is aged in French oak only. The nose is a lovely mix of roasted pepper, blackberry fruit, with some meaty, coffee vanilla aromas. It's not a big vintage so the tannins are moderate and the fruit is forward. Still the French oak aging and the Coonawarra fruit make for a firm-textured, elegant shiraz. Fine balance and length.Tasted: 01 March 2000Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $30.55 | 750ml |
