Penfolds Shiraz Bin 128 2002
Coonawarra, South Australia, AustraliaBin 128 one of the few Penfolds reds that isn't a multi-regional blend. The all Coonawarra fruit sees only French oak. Very meaty, smoky, spicy, peppery, blackberry, savoury nose. Very dry entry with somewhat lean tannins. Warm and showing some acidity with peppery, blueberry, green olive, black cherry, resiny, vanilla flavours. Lacks balance and generosity typical to this wine. A difficult vintage to be sure.Tasted: 23 October 2005Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $34.99 | 750ml | Specialty |
