Fort Berens Chardonnay 2022

Lillooet, British Columbia, Canada2022 is a 55/45 mix of Lillooet fruit from the home estate Dry Creek Vineyard and nearby Fraser Bench. Just under a third of the grapes were fermented whole cluster into neutral French oak barrels and aged for four months to add some mouthfeel. Everything else was fermented and aged in stainless steel. This is a simple, skinny chardonnay full of green apple skin and lime, with bright acidity and a stony mineral finish. It is best with a creamy pasta dish or lobster and plenty of drawn butter. It's a good start, but a little more lees would help up the interest.Tasted: 15 June 2023Tasted by: Prices:
