Fort Berens Chardonnay 2014
Lillooet, British Columbia, CanadaModerate toasty oak, lemon and green apples lead this Lillooet chardonnay on the nose and lighter bodied palate. Tight, crisp lemon, butter and spices peak out through the toasty barrels and intrigue, but the oak overwhelms the fresh, green and citrus fruit and lively pithiness at this stage. Hopefully it will be dialled back in future vintages.
