Penfolds Grange Hermitage Bin 95 Shiraz 1976
South Australia, AustraliaI must admit the '76 Grange was a bit of shock to me. So rich and supple yet full of mature dried fruits far more alive than I would have expected. The aromas are complex with just a hint of briar and dried leaves. Both rich and textured it is alive with mocha and black licorice fruit. There's still some time left for this one. Certainly one of the best remaining red wines from the 1976 vintage from anywhere in the world.Tasted: 09 December 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:US | $600.00 | 750ml | Specialty Retail Wine Shops |
