Penfolds Grange Hermitage Bin 95 Shiraz 1994

South Australia, AustraliaInky black opaque colour. Huge ripe fruit aromas of plum, blackberry jam, toasty oak vanilla and black pepper that permeate the entire wine, similarly on the palate with its substantial but ripe tannins. Well balanced, intense and long, there's little doubt this is Australia's best red. If you can find a bottle you can make up your own mind whether it's worth the price. The fruit is a mix of Barossa, McLaren Vale and Coonawarra.Tasted: 01 March 1997Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
