Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir McLean Creek Road Vineyard 2022

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe McLean Creek Road Vineyard is closing in on two decades of harvest in 2024. It was planted long before the 2018 Okanagan Falls sub-geographical indication (sub-Gi) was proclaimed. The vines sit on a mostly steep southerly aspect over gravel and sandy loams. The clones are Pommard clone 91, and 4 Dijon clones: 114, 115, 667, 777. The property is not certified organic but practices organic/sustainable farming principles. Look for a full-flavour pinot reminiscent of Central Otago and Sonoma Coast, before the savoury dusting of Okanagan sagebrush leans in. Look for a round, soft, dense, sweet palate tempered by an earthy, spicy background. Fresh and palate cleansing with each sip. This is a quality pinot, but there is no rush to open this bottle.Tasted: 07 November 2023Tasted by: Prices:
