Meyer Family Vineyards Pinot Noir McLean Creek Road Vineyard 2009

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaCelery root, thyme, caraway, tobacco leaf, rhubarb, meaty, light barnyard nose with a touch of cherry fruit. Dry, round, full, somewhat chunky palate with astringent tannins. Vanilla, coffee, peppery, meaty, compost, medicinal, rhubarb, black tea, savoury, black cherry flavours. This one is ripe but somewhat over extracted and astringent in the finish with a lot of oak showing. There's potential if the finesse can be brought forward.Tasted: 21 December 2011Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
