Quails' Gate Pinot Noir 2018

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaEver wonder why this is consistently balanced, juicy and fresh? It is the 7 percent gamay? The result is an earthy, savoury style of pinot with underbrush and ripe red fruits framed by some nicely integrated oak spice. The attack is supple, the fruit juicy with rhubarb, barnyard cherry undertones, and smooth tannins. One of the best regular bottlings in the valley. The pinot work includes a five-day cold soak, and a ferment for several weeks using wild and cultivated yeasts before ten months ageing in French oak barriques.Tasted: 31 October 2019Tasted by: Prices: BC 29.99 BCLS, winery direct, VQA shops AB 30.99 private wine shops MB 26.99 Manitoba's Liquor Marts Online QC 29.10 SAQ NS 30.00 PEI 30.09 PLCC YK 27.00 SK 30.00 SaskLiquor NB 27.99 NBLiquor Producer: Quails' Gate Vineyards Estate WineryDistributors: Appellation Wine Marketing
