Quails' Gate Pinot Noir 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Quails’ Gate classic pinot is a mix of clones from various sites. Post ferment, it spends about ten months in Frech oak which is probably the limit for any significant production, cool-climate pinot noir to give the fruit its best chance to express itself. The ’21 nose pitches black cherry and cedar boughs. The tannins are youthful and somewhat dry and are sitting on the fruit at this point. Gives this another two years in the bottle, then serve it with an umami-infested pasta dish with mushrooms and veal.Tasted: 28 October 2022Tasted by: Prices:
