Fort Berens Pinot Noir 2016
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2016 is a 75/25 mix of Lillooet fruit and Vernon fruit, all aged in French oak (30 percent new) for nine months. For the moment the wood sits firmly on the slightly underripe, sour cherry fruit. There’s a gentle reserved hand here, aside from the oak, but the sweet and sour fruit flavours are less attractive. Give this another year in the bottle to pull it all together before you serve it with grilled salmon.Tasted: 05 December 2018Tasted by: Prices:BC | $25.99 | 750ml | winery direct, private wine shops, restaurants |
