Quails' Gate Merlot 2012
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRoasted coffee, cassis and light tar open this dense and ripe merlot. A five percent splash each of cabernet sauvignon and syrah amp up the structure, resulting in smoked branch, vanilla cherry compote, raspberry jam, black pepper and bitter black cherry skin / espresso.
