Quails' Gate Merlot 2011
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMaybe the best merlot we have seen here in years. Despite lashings of sweet oak there is an underpinning of spicy, ripe fruit and well managed tannins. Dark plums, savoury undercurrents and fresh fruit all combine to make this a tasty treat with smooth fine grained tannins.
