Quails' Gate Merlot 2009
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSimilar on the nose to last year with cool, floral cedar-y, black cherry aromas with a dusting of dried herbs. The entry is supple and this year the softness extends through the finish. On the palate the wine offers up a spicy, tart, red fruit characters with bits of tobacco and dried cranberries in the finish. All in all a lean northwest merlot that is best served with grilled meats.Tasted: 08 April 2012Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $25.00 | 750ml | specialty listing |
