Antinori Pian delle Vigne Brunello di Montalcino 2005

Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalyIntense spicy, tobacco leaf, saddle leather, floral, eucalyptus nose with black cherry, plum, ash, liquorice and vanilla aromas. Rich, round, supple and elegant with light tannins. On the palate look for plums, liquorice, vanilla, earthy, coffee, tobacco, ash, mineral, peppery, orange peel flavours. A bit tannic and lean on the finish but with finesse. This round out nicely in two to four years or drink it now with beef dishes.Tasted: 15 November 2010Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
