Montalcino, Siena, Tuscany, ItalySophisticated gamey, cigar ash nose with licorice root, pepper, black cherry jam aromas. Quite rich on the palate with ripe, supple tannins. Earthy, licorice, peppery, gamey, garrigue and orange peel flavours with mocha, blackberry jam and cigar ash in the finish. Good finesse and structure if a bit soft. Best in two to five years.
