Château d'Yquem 1990
Sauternes, Graves, Bordeaux, FranceThere has been a slight evolution of colour with gold amber edges. Still fresh but complex with rich, lush, tropical fruit characters. An easy picking year that was done over four weeks. An exotic vintage for Bordeaux and winemaker Pierre Lurton says the d'Yquem is equally exotic. Still it's fresh and lively with a slight evolution of colour. Complex flavours of tropical fruit in a rich long body that is both fat and sweet. Warm summer temperatures have given this wine a more advanced "look" at 18 years. Bottled with 126 grams per litre of sugar with an acidity of 3.9 g/l and 12.7 degrees alcohol. Picking began in 17 September finished 10 October.Tasted: 15 May 2008Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:AB | $675.00 | 750ml | Dream Wines |
