Antinori Solaia 2003

Tuscany, ItalyAn impressive Solaia nose. Cassis, floral, meaty, saddle leather, tobacco, smoky game notes with vanilla, barnyard and coffee aromas. Ripe, rich, round, supple, slightly grainy, chalky tannins. Vanilla, coffee, peppery, meaty, smoky, cassis, black cherry, eucalyptus, floral, mineral, tobacco, leather flavours. Long, fat, rich finish if a bit warm but good acidity balance. Will improve with 5-7 years bottle aging but drinkable now with beef or veal steak.Tasted: 27 December 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
