Quails' Gate Stewart Family Reserve Chardonnay 2005

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe latest Family Reserve Chardonnay is made from 100 per cent estate grown fruit and it's all French clones. The FR is aged in only 40 per cent new oak and the dividend is a lively fruit character throughout. Lees stirring and full malolactic fermentation gives the wine a lovely texture to complement its pear and citrus flavours with spicy toasted oak underpinnings. Good now but will age gracefully and improve over the next three years.Tasted: 19 September 2007Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
