Burrowing Owl Syrah 2002

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaRich gamey, black cherry jam and smoky tobacco notes streaked with rootsy, licorice and vanilla. Rich, round, warm and dry on entry with elegant but round, supple tannins. More spicy, black cherry jam, vanilla, meaty, licorice and cigar flavours with just the right amount of peppery, sausage and citrus peel flavours on the finish. Ripe and suave. Well worth laying away for a few years. Bravo.Tasted: 24 August 2004Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
