Penfolds St. Henri Shiraz 1995

South Australia, AustraliaA historic Penfolds wine whose origins date back to the same period when Max Schubert was designing Grange. Large, 2000-litre vats prevent any new wood from invading St. Henri leaving the raspberry/blueberry fruit to tell its story. The Penfolds descriptor of fruitcake is perfect and so is its supple mouth feel. Still young and under developed but excellent in every way. A sensational wine with a big future. One for the cellar.Tasted: 01 March 1998Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
