Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPale with a ruby rim, there's some light sour cherry compote, plum, a touch of barnyard, and rounded, smooth cherry and baking spice, with very approachable tannins. The finish is long, focused, and well balanced. This was hand picked from 4 distinct vineyard sites: Fat Coyote, Anarchist Mountain, Lakehill Road, and McLean Creek Road, between Oct 9 and Nov 2. The wine is aged in neutral French oak barrels and puncheons before bottling in April 2023.Tasted: 24 April 2024Tasted by: Prices:
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPinot noir fans can rejoice: the bargain priced Meyer Family Pinot Noir, aka the Okanagan Valley label, is a winner in 2022. At a modest 13.5% alcohol, this juicy cherry, raspberry pinot has everything you could want under $25. At less than 1 gram per litre of residual sugar, winemaker Chris Carson has worked his magic on this eminently drinkable and affordable red. The grapes enjoyed a long, dry autumn that gives the wine a ripeness that is hard to match in most years. Hand picked from four vineyard sites located in Naramata, Osoyoos, Kaleden and Okanagan Falls, it was aged in neutral French oak barrels and puncheons to allow for some expansion, while leaving no discernible oakiness. Ready to drink.Tasted: 16 May 2023Tasted by: Prices:
