Meyer Pinot Noir 2012

Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Meyer style is all gentle with minimal intervention. The 'Okanagan' pinot is de-stemmed with 10% whole clusters going into the ferment. The result spends ten months in 100% old seasoned French oak to reduce any influence on the fruit - a mix of Kelowna, Oliver and Okanagan Falls grapes - including some off the property purchases. The nose is spicy with some herbaceous notes mixed with sweet raspberry fruit. The balance is fine in what is more of a rounder California style pinot. Best with salmon or mushrooms dishes.Tasted: 14 June 2014Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:
