Mission Hill Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaChief winemaker Corrie Kreibehl continues the sauvignon excellence at Mission Hill. It is year two of full organic certification (Ecocert) of its vineyards in the south, whose fruit ends up in the Legacy, Terroir, and Reserve wine tiers. The attack is fresh and vibrant, perhaps a little stark for some, but it is proper to form with crisp citrus and lemongrass throughout a palate of grapefruit and gooseberry. This finish is a touch phenolic, but nothing most food can’t balance. This is no ordinary, stainless steel white, but rather a complex offering that spends time in a mix of French oak barrels, stainless barrels, foudres, and concrete eggs before blended with its stainless steel-fermented counterpart.Tasted: 17 April 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:BC | $25.99 | 750ml | BCLS |
