Mission Hill Reserve Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaChief winemaker Corrie Kreibehl called the 2021 growing season one of the most challenging in its 40-year history. Extreme heat and climate conditions brought highly concentrated berries to reduced yields. The result is a high-quality vintage, with wines available in minimal quantities. 2021 is also the first vintage of Legacy, Terroir and Reserve wines produced organically and certified through Ecocert, the world’s leading certifier of sustainable practices. The Reserve Sauvignon Blanc has been a stellar performer at Mission Hill. The attack is fresh and vibrant, the palate awash in crisp citrus and lemongrass with grapefruit and gooseberry in the finish. It is a complex offering at a modest price. Notably, 21 percent of the wine spends time in French oak barrels, stainless barrels, foudres, and concrete eggs before mixing with its stainless steel-fermented counterpart.Tasted: 08 April 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
