CedarCreek Meritage 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaA first look at this youthful, full-bodied red blend from CedarCreek’s south Okanagan Haynes Creek Vineyard. The nose is savoury with red and black fruit. The attack is dense with rich, soft tannins, earthy blackcurrant, black plums, and spice, with streaks of bitter chocolate and roasted coffee beans. There is a sense of balance here even if this wine will require five to seven years to shed its tannin jacket and open up to full maturity. Try this with lamb chops if you must drink it, but I suggest you wait for it to bloom fully around 2025.Tasted: 17 April 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
