Fort Berens Cabernet Franc 2020

British Columbia, CanadaWith fruit from across BC, theoretically including their Lillooet home, this cab franc was aged for 15 months in 225L oak barrels, split between French and American. Smoke leads the medium palate, pervading bitter dark cherry, blackcurrant, roasted coffee, and lingering on the spiced finish. Tannins are finely gritty, and acidity is tart. Needs a mushroom and/or beef stew to unite at this point.Tasted: 08 March 2023Tasted by: Prices:
