Fort Berens Cabernet Franc 2010
Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFort Berens is making its mark in Lillooet but this wine is definitely south Okanagan in origin as evidence by its savoury bent. The fruit is slightly lifted on the nose and mixes spice and volatility with leafy notes red fruits and cassis. The palate is fresh and the flavours similar with more menthol, mineral and spice dominating a sour red fruit finish. Chalky tannins suggest it needs another year in bottle or a big piece of meat.Tasted: 12 January 2013Tasted by: Anthony Gismondi and Stuart TobePrices:BC | $25.00 | 750ml | vqa, private wine stores, winery direct |
