Meyer Pinot Noir 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis year's Meyer Pinot Noir comes from 3 Okanagan Vineyards: Teasdale Road Vineyard in Southeast Kelowna; Cellarsbend Vineyard on the Naramata Bench; and Lakehill Road Vineyard in Kaleden. The destemmed fruit was partially native fermented over 4 weeks prior to 8 months in older French barrels and puncheons. Smoked stone, fleshy black cherry, blackcurrant is heavily scented with nutmeg and cloves on a plumped palate, with tart, blackcurrant acidity sharpening. The finish lingers with cinnamon warmth. Certainly a different shade of pinot noir, this is one to crack into with heartier dishes / autumnal stews.Tasted: 05 September 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
