Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaThe screwcap Yarra Valley Pinot Noir is Mac Forbes' overview of the Yarra, a declassified blend of multiple clones and sites from both the upper Yarra and valley floor. This vintage was 5% whole bunch, native fermented in concrete and open top stainless over 18 days. It then spent 9 months in concrete and small and large oak. Pouring a pale crimson hue, this slight red streams dried florals, wild cherry, herbal raspberry along a saline palate, with fine, long, lightly grippy, tea-leaf tannins hugging the sides.
