Yarra Valley, Victoria, AustraliaThis Yarra Valley Pinot Noir is Mac Forbes' overview of the Yarra, a declassified blend of multiple clones and sites from both the upper Yarra and valley floor. This vintage was 15% whole bunch, and 20% destemmed and foot stomped, all native fermented in concrete and open top stainless over 3 weeks. It then spent 11 months in small and large oak. Perfumed plum and cherry glide into a silken palate, with some dusky forest notes to season, and slippery fine tannins to guide this to a humming, baking spiced finish.
