Penedès, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainA primarily dry year with some respite in late winter and summer previewed normal temperatures slightly cooler than the average growing season. Mas la Plana is fermented in stainless steel and macerated 15-25 days before spending 18 months in 85 percent new French oak. It is a highly polished cabernet with a friendly side. Blackcurrants and black plums mix with a warm, earthy undercurrent that builds complexity and tames any exuberant fruit. Elegant and balanced, this will age effortlessly and improve through 2030.
