Penedès, Catalunya (Catalonia Cataluña), SpainMas La Plana's 29 hectares of cabernet are situated at Pacs, in the central Penedès region, once the feudal lands of the Counts of Barcelona. Big bright cassis, coffee, black olive, smoky, tobacco, chocolate pudding aromas with some saddle leather and tobacco underneath - very cabernet sauvignon. The flavours are similar laced with black pepper, garrigue, cassis jam with a long, refined minty, briary finish. Love the elegance here - a recurring theme at Torres of late. An excellent wine that will need a decade to fill out and reach its potential.
